Digha: Capturing the Sands

The New Digha beach... It was a bright sunny and really hot day. Everyone was just ready to jump to the water.
The sands had some beautiful effects in bright sunshine. As if they were some scattered diamond.
This picture is the proof of the "try" to capture those diamonds. It cant be better using the Nikon L10 with 15 cm macro mode.

Digha: Splash

Around 12:30 pm we arrived Digha. A long journey from Kolkata and some tire punctures :P made us really tired. But before checking in to the hotel, I rushed to the sea shore to feel the cold salty wind. And as usually my camera was with me which help me to take this snap. The waves were really splashing against the shore continuously. So I named this pic as Splash :)

Digha tour...

Recently I was on a tour to Digha with my family members. Though the journey was quite a hectic one but It was a fun tour.
A journey of 4-5 hr from Kolkata, Digha is one of the most predictable tourist destination of West Bengal. Digha is now has two part. The old one is known as Old Digha. It is a cowded center and maximum hotels and resources are available around it.
The other one is known as New Digha..a quite place (though New Digha becoming crowded day by day).

The upcoming snaps will be on Digha tour. With my Nikon L10 camera, I was shoooting everywhere, trying to capture the essence of Digha. Lets share those snaps with the world.. :)

Return to Blogspot

I had a blog previously on photography in wordpress. It is www.picturesq.wordpress.com
But the free version of wordpress doesn't allow you to edit the HTML source code. So I decided to move to blogspot.

Hope I'll manage this blog well because of the dynamic features of Blogspot. OpenSource Rockssss!!

Wild Flower in Full Bloom

It was around March-April of 2006. I was on a tour to Simla-Manali, escaping from the hot summer in Kolkata. On a Sunny Day, around 6-30 am, I continued my journey towards Rohtang Pass. I was amazed by the roadside view. Different kind of wild flowers were in full bloom. Among them I got these beauty. Amazed by its vibrant color, I couldn't wait to take a snap.
