Hebbe Falls

Finally we reach Hebbe Falls after a hectic trekking of 3 hours. But the scenic beauty refreshed us so much so much that we could ignore the stress. This 500 meter(approx) high waterfalls has 2 part. The below part isn't visible here. I wonder what will be it is in rainy season.

Lantana Camara var. Aculeata. Finally got the scientific name of this common flower of South India. This time I got this on the way to Hebbe Falls from Kemmanagundi.

St. Johns Wor

This is a very common flower which you will come across if you are romaing around wild South India. It's known as St. Johns Wor ( Hypericum Oblongifolium). You will find these flowers in bunch. So one can imagine what view it would be if it's a bright sunny day.

Sunrise from Kemmanagundi

After a gap of 4 months, I have returned again with some photos to share. In the month of March, I went to a short trip to Chikmagalur-Kemmanagundi. It's a hill station in Karnataka and famous for Coffee Plantation. Our trip was started with a 8 km trekking from Rajbhavan (horticulture resort at Kemmanagundi) to Hebbe falls. I heard that the sunrise and sunset from Rajbhavan is marvelous. I am not lucky enough to get that view but was able to capture this majestic moment.
